There are quite a few places to get a meal within the first square mile of the Southern Grosse Pointe area. I go to Harry's of Grosse Pointe, because it is the least greasy, family friendliest and closest diner from where I stay. Honestly, I don't care about the family friendly part, outside of the fact that they have a decent amount of space and seating. The menu at Harry's is Greek-inspired. You can get gyro meat for breakfast. That is a novel touch, which I take advantage of quite frequently. Otherwise, everything is solid diner food. There is nothing especially good, but I haven't been revolted by anything I have had there. They have breakfast the entire time they are open and I must say their pancakes are edible. A lot of times, diners tend to make pancakes that resemble sawdust patties, not Harry's. They're fluffy and moist. They are the kind of pancakes that I would eat without butter and syrup though, but that's fine. I used to go to Mack Avenue Diner quite a bit and now I'm comfortable, just going to Harry's. It's my neighborhood diner. If you see me there, say hi!

We live around the corner and untill last weeks snow storm have never been in but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was efficient and the prices were very reasonable. I had an omelette and was giving a choice of pancake or hash brown and that was kind of nice. They had a specials board and some of the lunch stuff sounded good. We will give it a try. This is your basic family restaurant so if your looking for something unique then this might not be for you.

Expect to wait a while for your food. This place serves below average food, and leaves your clothes with a greasy spoon smell of upon leaving.

I decided to try this place since it got good reviews. I was shocked to find out how terrible it is. From the service to the food I give it negative points! It was so bad that we almost got up and left twice. We Waited at the "please wait to be seated" sign for a good 10 minutes while the wait staff stared at us from their station presumably waiting for the hostess to come great us. We were finally seated only to wait another 18 minutes for someone to take our order. The food took forever and was subpar. We will not e going back and I hope to spare anyone reading this....take my advice and save your money and taste buds!

I had lunch here and wished I had gone somewhere else. Unbussed tables, a generally dingy atmosphere. Food was fair. Service was slow. When I paid my bill and asked for change for a ten, the rude waitress snapped at me and told me to "hold on" while she fumbled with her tip money to give me change. Dont waste your time here in my opinion. I can think of 3 other places that I wished I had gone to instead of this sorry excuse for a restaurant.

Best weekend morning diner style breakfast (or afternoon) if you were out late the night before. Great hash browns made from scratch (skip the fries), just revamped the menu with some more veggie options too. Salad and eggs can be a great combo! Large portions, friendly service.
